happy birthday Grandma & Grandpa

It is Chris' parents birthdays this week, so we met up with them and the Galvagno's in Seattle on Saturday. We went to the science center (yep, that's 3 weekends in a row...we're getting use out of that pass before the baby comes!). It was a lot of fun and a little scary (we lost Paul for about 5 min, he had climbed 3 flights of stairs and was back at our stroller...when Aunt Kari got upstairs he said "where's mom?" it was the scariest 5 min of my life! we were right by an exit to a downtown Seattle street...we're so lucky!) We also ate a yummy dinner at the Spaghetti Factory. Oh, and we got a call from our realtor while we were there...another offer...and we're going to take it! Yea!!!!

valentine vacation

The kids had friday off of school, so Chris took it off work and we went on a little valentine vacation. I packed up the van with the gear for our weekend. We told the kids we were taking them out to dinner. After dinner we drove towards the ferry, at one point they both agreed that we weren't driving towards home. It wasn't until we were paying for our ferry pass that they said, "what, where are we going?" It was so fun to surprise them with a little get a way. We stayed in Cama Beach state park. They have waterfront cabins for only $17/night (that's winter rates). It was so much fun to get away with our little family...before it grows by one! Here's some pics from the trip...

valentine huggable heart pillows...got this idea from crafty crow...they loved them!

This pic surprised me when I uploaded it. Check it out, Paul is pointing right at his dad...:) crazy, huh.

I had to do this, don't worry, he's actually in the boat house (see below). This kid may grow up to be a ship captain, or maybe just a pro wake boarder:). He loves boats and water!

handmade give away

I got this from my cool cousin's blog...I'm so excited to see what she makes for me!!

The deal:
The first 5 people to respond to this post will receive something made by me. To you! It will be my choice and made especially for you. Just so we’re on the same page, here are . . .

The details:
No guarantees you will feel absolute true love, but possibly happiness, fervor, or chocolate.
What I create will be just for you.
It will be done sometime this year.
You have no clue what it will be… it may be a story. Maybe poetry. (Well, probably not either of those.) I may draw or paint something. Most likely sew or create something. I may bake something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you! That’s for sure.
I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The fine print (which is actually the same size, but whatever):
You must re-post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on their blog. When you get your lovely homemade goods from me, post a picture on your blog so I know my love arrived without a hitch.
