snowy spring break

on friday we woke up to SNOW! on spring break. We couldn't believe it!!

The first words out of Paul's mouth were "I gonna throw a snowball at you mom". haha

By the time we had all the snow gear out of the attic (since this was the first snow of the year!) the snow had turned to rain. The kids didn't mind. They played until their hair/hats were sopping wet. Even Ian insisted on going out. It was a fun wet snowy spring break day.

I love (this kind of) Spring Cleaning. Let's hope this lasts!

I had to put this picture up (even though it is blurry). Ian loves being outside. Every time the door opens he starts racing towards it to escape. This picture just captured his happiness. I love this boy!


The rest of this post is for my sister Jeanette, she wanted to see our "no school" friday creations.

Anna wanted some peeps the other day, but we'd eaten our frozen stash and couldn't make it to the store. So instead we made our own peeps...with felt. I found tutorials here and here.

Everett & Anna sewed their own, it was cute to see them with needles and thread in hand.
