one of our favorite family traditions

dad. anna. everett. ian. paul. (mom behind camera)

anna's so sweet, she doesn't like to eat blackberries but she picked a bag full for the rest of us.
Ian did wake up with a sweet smelling diaper that night, I guess we should have stopped him...

brothers

I love having play days with these two boys. It's going to be fun watching them grow up together.

back to school

School is back in session and the kids couldn't be more excited!
We had such a fun summer, but it's always fun to learn and play and see old friends
they were especially excited to ride the bus (they get to sit in a new row since they're in a new grade...exciting!)
of course it was raining, so here they are all bundled up waiting for that bus:)
We're looking forward to a great school year! Lot's of learning and making new friends. Good luck kiddos!

Paul

someone has learned how to write his name. I went outside the other day and found all these attempts. Not bad for a 3 yr old:)
you can call him ulap
this one is just crazy, it's totally perfect in mirror. He must have put the bump on the "p" on the wrong side and figured he'd go with it.

meteor shower

Chris took the big kids out to big beef creek to watch the meteor shower. Everett saw 17 and Anna saw 11. Chris took some really cool pictures with long exposures. I'm loving them all!

Lopez Island

Lopez Island was always the favorite family reunion destination as a kid. We'd head up north every 6 years and enjoy the beautiful trees and water. Now I live in a place that looks a lot like Lopez. I was a little worried I wouldn't find it as beautiful as in years past...luckily it still has it's charm. Chris & I actually spent our honeymoon up here (10 years ago). We had so much fun just enjoying the property, kayaking, camping, fishing, hiking, agate hunting, and crabbing. Thank you Bumsteads for letting us come and stay!
