30th Birthday & baby bump

Yep, I'm no longer in my 20's...so weird, so sad! I do have 3 1/2 kids, so maybe it's a good thing:)?

my baby bump, Chris said I should stick it out farther... so here's another take:

more snow day(s)

this looks like a where's waldo pic to me. Can you see Everett in the bottom right?so we've been snowbound since Saturday evening! It's been crazy, I guess they haven't seen this much snow in 13+ years! And it shows, they still haven't plowed our roads. We're hoping they get back into our neighborhood today so we can get to town to buy our Christmas ham (and rolls, potatoes, eggs, milk, light bulbs, etc.). And so Chris' family can make the trek over here safely for Christmas eve...

Here are a few photos of the fun in the snow:Paul was a little unhappy about the 12" of snow (not as easy to walk threw as the 4" the day before)Chris must have said something really funny. He's starting to come up with those Dad jokes only kids laugh at.
They brought in snowballs and made snow cones...everyone loved them but Annabuilding a snow fort with dad. Paul with his sisters mittens onAnna going backwardsEverett was so excited to have a fort. Chris shoveled snow on both sides of the driveway, they had a serious snowball fight that night.I only thought kids did this in the sand...

snow day

The kids fell in love with Washington today. They used to think it only rained here and snowed in Utah...I think we've almost fully adjusted (now if we can just sell our house in Utah!)

Oh, here is a fun easy craft I did this week. I got the idea from crafty crow. I just used 2 Land of Nod catalogs. Chris thinks I'm a weird-o, but I thought it turned out cute. (and if you like Land of Nod they have a free shipping code right now, it's "SWEET"! -that is the actual code)

Thanksgiving 2008

We went over to the Galvagno's for Thanksgiving this year (thanks guys!) It was so fun to be with family, and even better to not have to cook a turkey!! We went to downtown Seattle the next day to watch the tree lighting. Thanks for the fun times!

family portraits

We took some pics today...hoping to get one good enough for a Christmas card. I'm posting them here...just in case I never get them printed, stamped and addressed. (I am such a procrastinator)

FHE - Lehi's Dream

Last week we decided to do our FHE on Lehi's Dream. I googled "FHE Lehi's Dream LDS ideas" and someone out there suggested this:

Chris read the scripture account and the kids drew parts of the story as they were told. Paul mostly just scribbled, but the kids had fun being illustrators for the night. For our treat I had them walk along the iron rod (a swiffer handle) and eat some fruit from the tree of life (an apple - I had pomegranate and cantaloupe, but Chris thought the kids would definitely like apple, you wouldn't want the fruit from the tree of life to not taste good...right!?)

Happy Halloween

I had so much fun with the pumpkin patch yearly review that I figured I'd do it for Halloween too. It's fun to see all the costumes they've had. This year I didn't make one of them! I did get the sewing machine out to make matching candy bags to go with their store bought costumes (it just doesn't seem like Halloween without some sort of sewing). It is really crazy to see that we were in Kaysville for all the other years I had digital pictures for. Seeing that neighborhood makes me miss it a ton. We're happy to make new memories though, and the trunk-or-treat here was fun, and neighborhood trick or treating was too (just a bit more hilly!)

Everett

Last Saturday Everett was able to go fishing with Grandpa T. He was so excited. (Paul just saw this picture and couldn't stop saying "granpa, granpa, granpa....Reverett", it took him a while to see Everett in the picture too!:)That night Everett's best friend Connor was baptised...in the sound (it was 55 degrees)! It was such a neat baptism and I think it got Everett excited for his own. (I can't believe he's almost 8!)
